Beverly Hills Porsche + Chase Car Commercials

Beverly Hills Porsche

Beverly Hills and Hollywood are mere miles apart but as far as the world goes, they might as well be adjacent. For decades, both have vied for PR supremacy on the zeitgeist of Los Angeles. All sibling rivalry aside, both have also enjoyed a close, symbiotic relationship: In this case, Beverly Hills Porsche has been a sponsor of picture vehicles to dozens of motion pictures, TV shows, and Hollywood publicity projects over the years and our client wanted us to craft a nostalgic commercial that would highlight that.

With only a day to shoot on top of our other Chase Car commercials, we managed to put something together that was short and sweet for Beverly Hills Porsche’s ad campaign. Too bad we didn’t get to take one of these Porsches home after the shoot!

Chasing Perfection

Christopher Nolan’s Inception is hands down one of our favorite movies of all time, and we channeled our inner Nolan in producing ‘Chasing Perfect’ where we took a meta look at what goes into making a car chase happen and breaking it down into its various elements. To us, it wasn’t all about the chase, it was about how the chase was shot and the brilliant connection of man and machine that made it all happen.

For our second spot, the Fastest Camera Car in the World, we wanted to push the equipment to the limit in order to test Chase Car’s claim that they had the fastest camera car in the world. We found ourselves a radar speed gun and actually pushed the fully equipped, fully loaded (with 6 people) camera car all the way to 104 miles per hour on the straight away at Willows Springs International Raceway. We got it on camera of course, and lived to tell the tale.

In concert with our Behind the Scenes documentary Behind the Chase, these spots served as part of a ad campaign by Chase Car and Beverly Hills Porsche to showcase both the glamor and grit of these amazing machines we’ve come to love and lust for.

Fastest Camera Car

Another spots I directed for Chase Car Inc and their brand new Porsche Panamera Turbo Camera Crane Car. We did a full speed run with 5 people with crane and camera and hit 104 miles per hour at Willow Springs Raceway - Making it the fastest production camera car vehicle in the world.
