SENSOR

SENSOR: a short Sci-Fi Horror Thriller about PTSD

Haunted by his experiences from the war, a Vietnam Veteran has had enough. Placing motion sensors around his property, he’s decided to face his demons once and for all. Unfortunately, he’s in for more than he bargained for. Starring Dana Lee (Dr. Ken, Pineapple Express, Rambo) and Nikki SooHoo (Lovely Bones, Stick It, Bring It On, Heathers).

What inspired it? Well we’re all haunted. By our past trauma, previous mistakes, and regrettable moments. In essence: Ghosts of the past. But what if the ghost was real? Unfortunately for our Vietnam Veteran (played by the brilliant Dana Lee, a real life Marine Corps vet), his demons have become a literal threat to his very existence and sanity. Deciding he’s had enough, he employs an ingenious combination of high tech motion sensor lights coupled with old school grit and determination to face his deepest fears once and for all. Thanks to freezing sub-zero desert temperatures on our one-night production, I saw a lot of parallels with our story as I fended off the worst flu of my life whilst trying to get the then-brand new Aputure MC-12 LED lights to cooperate with our on-camera choreography. Fun times!
